If a customer completes the payment from a channel outside of UPMS, the platform would rely on the Biller to reject the payment in that cycle or adjust the amount of additional payment received in the next bill cycle.

How does UPMS handle the scenario of a payment not getting completed by the due date?

For Billers who share late bill payment details such as revised amount or additional fee in the bill presentment request, the Customer Operating Unit is expected to debit the specified amount. In case these details are not available in the bill presentment request, the Customer Operating Unit can initiate Bharat BillPay bill fetch API to get revised details.
