Mr Rana Ashutosh Kumar Singh, Deputy Managing Director (Transaction Banking & New Initiatives), State Bank of India joined the Bank as Probationary Officer in 1991 and has over 30 years of experience with deep domain expertise, extensive knowledge and leadership experience in Retail Banking, Credit, Human Resources, International Banking and Digital & Transaction Banking. He has served in various positions and locations in India and abroad (Germany).

In his current role as the DMD (Transaction Banking & New Initiatives), he is Vertical Head with responsibility for Transaction Banking, Government Business Relationships and strategizing & driving new business and process initiatives.

A few of his key assignments, in the immediate past, were Deputy Managing Director (Strategy) & Chief Digital Officer and Dy Managing Director (HR) & Corporate Development Officer at Corporate Centre, Chief General Manager of Chandigarh Local Head Office and Chief Executive Officer of Frankfurt Branch, Germany.

He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and holds an MBA (PGEMP) from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. He has also attended the Leadership Development Programme at Harvard Business School and the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
