Ms. Praveena Rai

With over 30 years of extensive experience, Ms Praveena Rai has built expertise in various facets of payments, cards, retail, transaction, wholesale and commercial banking.

Before joining NPCI, she was leading the cash management portfolio at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited. Earlier, Ms Rai has managed payments for Asia Pacific and has been the Head of sales at HSBC, where she provided solutions to global banking corporations and SMEs in Asia and India respectively. Ms Rai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication and has a postgraduate degree from IIM Ahmedabad.

She is also the Chief Operating Officer of NPCI.
